Answers to your Questions! Part 3

Lil' Woman asked:

Where did you guys honeymoon?
We stayed at the Maui Hyatt Regency Resort & Spa in Kaanapali, Maui for a week! Everything about Maui is AMAZING!! I am going to do a post soon about what all we did on our honeymoon. The last three days we were there, we had a car and we ventured around Lahaina as well.

Mr. D, what made you fall for Mrs. D?
I am sure you are all expecting a lovey dovey answer, but if you know my husband, you already know that is not what you are going to get. I asked him this question and he said that it wasn't fair. Then I tried to rephrase the question by asking what made him fall in love with me. Again, he said that wasn't fair because there is more than one reason why he loves me. Well, that is fabulous that he loves me for several reasons, but for my lovely readers, that still didn't answer the question. I tried again by changing up the question to a point that I knew I could get an answer from my husband. (Sorry Lil' Woman your question is great, but my hubby was being complicated!)

So I asked: At what point did you realize you loved me?
Mr. D: When you were in the hospital for a week in 2004.
The end. He got up and went back to what he was doing. So there you have it ladies.. short and to the point. That's my hubby and man do I love him! :)

At this point you are probably wondering what happened? Long story, very short:
In January 2004, I was in the hospital for a week. I was extremely ill and he slept in that uncomfortable fold out chair in my hospital room for the entire week. He only left to go to school and work. Every morning, my doctor would make his rounds very early before he went to his private office across town. He had to step over Mr. D (who was my boyfriend then) to get to my hospital bed. By day four, my doctor told me that he was a keeper! He said that anyone who vowed to sleep in those uncomfortable chair "beds" just to be with me must think that I am very special. I agreed! Mr. D thinks I'm pretty special, and I decided to keep him! :)

If you could take any vacation, where would you go and what would you want to do?
I sort of answered this in the Q&A Part 1 about going anywhere in the world. If I could take any vacation, I would have to say Japan since we have never been. Once I got to Japan, I would want to go sightseeing like crazy! Visit a Shinto and Buddhist Shrine, eat sushi, drink Japanese beer, buy a kimono, climb take pictures of Mt. Fuji, see the cherry blossoms, learn the Japanese tea ceremony, and visit the Peace Memorial Museum in Hiroshima.

That basically just says what I said in the paragraph above. I know, I've got mad skills.. not really! Ha! I just have to try and use my Japanese knowledge where I can. It might not be 100% correct, and it will translate slightly different, but I try. What can I say.. I'm only in my second year of Japanese.

H asked:

Besides Texas, what is your favourite state and why?
My favorite state hands down is Hawaii. It is absolutely amazing! If you have not been, I highly recommend going there soon! Chic Runner just got back from her amazing trip to Hawaii and she just posted about her trip. The pictures are amazing!! I was so jealous (still am) of here trip. Check out her pics here: Part 1 and Part 2 :)

What is your favourite book?
Humm.. that's a tough one for me. Growing up I didn't like to read much because I was too busy playing every sport imaginable along with dance and twirling since I was 2. Now that I have gotten older, I am getting more into reading, but I don't think I have found that one book that is my absolute favorite. I do really enjoy books written by Nicholas Sparks and Jane Green. Currently I am reading the Sookie Stackhouse series written by Charaine Harris, which I recommend reading. For couples, Mr. D & I read the books by Shaunti Feldhahn, For Women Only and For Men Only. These were very insightful and funny at times. We enjoyed reading them together. I have about 6 other books on my bookshelf waiting for me to read them. I'll let you know when I find the one! :)

What is the hardest part of being married?
Wow, this is a tough one for me. I think a lot of people probably do this... at least I hope I am not the only one. You know when you have a bad day and you just want to let it all out when you come home? Well, for me, that person is Mr. D and sometimes I forget that he was not the cause for any part of my bad day. I am getting better, and I catch myself now, but I used to just let it all out and then wonder why my hubby wasn't happy as a clam when I got done griping about all of my problems.

What is the best part of being married?
I get to spend everyday with my best friend that I love and that loves me. He is there for me no matter what. I have a shoulder to cry on when I'm sad, an ear to listen when I need to talk, a friend to laugh and have fun with, and a partner for life. I love being married! :)

So there you go! I have answered all of your questions! I hope you enjoyed learning a little bit more about me. If you still have questions, feel free to ask/email and I will be more than happy to answer them. :)
