Friday Favorites!

So the weekend is here and I am soooo happy! I just want to start off by saying thank you to all of you who took time out to leave me sweet comments on the post I wrote about some of my frustrations with Social Security after my fathers passing. I really appreciate them all! It's so hard at times, and your comments really brightened my day. I would also like to say thank you for all of the well wishes I have recieved over the past couple of days. This strep throat business came out of no where! I got some medicine fromt the doctor which has helped, but now Mr. D has passed along his head cold to me. Not quite what I was wanting, but it's better than strep I guess. I am just hoping that this set of antibiotics will knock out both and I can be well in a few days.

Now, on to bigger and better things! I thought that I would share with you some of my favorite products that I use. I like to try new things here and there, but when I find something that I like, I tend to stay on that bandwagon until forced to get off.

Let me introduce to you my favorite products that I use for my face daily.

I have combination oily/dry skin on my face. (dry on my cheeks and oily in the T zone) and I absolutely LOVE this face wash! Clinique's mild liquid facial soap is not too abrasive when washing my face and it never leaves it feeling dry. Let me tell you, I have had some bad face washes in the past! You know the ones that make you feel like you just peeled off a layer of skin, or the ones that make your face so dry that it itches? Yeah no more of that now that I have found this! This next product is my favorite part of the whole face washing routine. Just dab a little bit of clarifying lotion onto a cotton ball and wipe it across your face and neck and it just feels. so. good. I'm not quite sure why I love this part so much. I think it might just be the moist cooling effect that it gives, but it makes my face feel great!
And the final step to the whole 3-step process is done with Clinique's dramatically different moisturizing lotion. It makes my face feel so soft and smooth, I never leave home without applying this first.
My skin always becomes dry in the winter and stays normal during the summer which drives me nuts! I am always switching between products because I can't find a happy medium. I'll use one type of product for half a year and then another product for the other half of the year and it gets old after a while. I have been searching for something that I can use year-round, and this is it! I used Clinique products when I was in high school, but never their facial cleansers. I decided to go back a few months ago, and I am glad that I did. The price isn't that bad and it really does keep my skin in the best shape through the changing seasons.

Have you had the same troubles finding the perfect facial scrub? Feel free to share what products you love. Happy Friday! :)

I, too, use Clinique and love it. As far as a facial scrub goes, I just got a free sample of Clinique's 7-Day scrub, and I love it. It will be my next full-bottle purchase:)

I don't know why I hadn't read the post about social security, but I just read it, and I'm really sorry about your die, and I am angry at the whole Social Security Administration for you. I can't believe it! You can't rely on anything these days, and it irks me to no end. I'm so sorry you have to deal with that. I really hope that things work out for you.

And 2, I love Clinique! I just started using their 3 step process, and it does miracles for my skin!
